How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5681837 / FAB31741301 Screw (Customized)

Simple replacement of the plate, I replaced the pulsator cap as well since I broke the old one by not prying it up evenly from all sides. I didn’t need the screw however since one is suppplied with the assembly. Easy. Peasy. Saved a couple hundred maybe over a repairman, they also like to charge a higher price for parts. 

Noticed that the pulsator in the bottom of the drum was loose. Popped off the cap and the bolt was loose. I removed the old pulsator and found that the the splines in the center were worn completely off. When the new pulsator arrived it took less than ten minutes to unpack the replacement install it and tighten the 10mm bolt with a socket. Pop on the cheap plastic cap and you are done. 

Rubber pulsator gear wore out screwdriver to remove the old socket to installed a new one easy.
