How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5578389 / DE94-02409C Microwave Door Handle Assembly

Replaced the handle 

Replaced with the perfect part 

Got my new one and replaced it myself 

I used the owners manual provided on PDF. It was simple to replace per the manual and took approx. 1/2 hour. The main thing was being careful with the inside cap hiding the bottom screw for the handle. It is plastic so you have to be careful when you are trying to pop it out from the clips hidden by the cap. The other thing was I had to order a radiation tester from Amazon for 22.00. The comments listed by buyers indicated that most microwaves leak more than the recommended .5 on the meter, this was even happening on new microwaves. I would recommend you just keep 5 to 6 ft from the door when operational. 

Ordered part from appliance part and it was very simple to fix 

My Samsung microwave handle broken few days before I was planning to move out of the apartment I rented. Owner wanted it to be replaced, only option he knew was to buy a new one, which costed 200$ on ebay. Contacted samsung parts, they are willing to replace the handle for 150$. As a last resort, I searched online for parts, only two were offering, and this was the cheapest. Though the handle part I ordered didn't match my microwave, upon conveying my issue with the handle, they apologized and promised to reimburse and gave me a shipping label to return. After that they found the right one and sent me at a discounted price. The second handle is the exact one I needed and it was just $18. Thanks to this web site, it saved me $180 Ugandhar 

I was able to pry off the interior plate on the microwave door to get at the screws from the prior handle. At that point I was able to install the new handle and clip/press the interior plate back in place. 

Took the old one off and put the new one on! I had to get 2 new screws because the old ones were too big even according to the helpful hardware men at Ace. 

Perfect match and easy replacement. 

Removed top screw and inside lining on the door. Then removed the lower screw. Replaced the handle and carefully tightened.
