Thomas G Splendora , TX April 04, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Washer WA50F9A7DSP/A2-0000 Broken top lid from transport ***NOTE*** When moving your washer using a utility trailer, ensure you tape down the lid so this situation does not occur! 1. Using a utility knife, remove the 2 sticker covers from each side of the top lid. They are located near the hinges where they meet the washer body. 2. Using a phillips head screwdriver, remove the 2 sets of screws from each side. Do not strip the heads as this is easy to do. 3. Gently tap each side of the lid where the screws were fastened. This helps remove any tensions on the hinge arms. 4. Using both hands, grab the sides of the washer lid and pull up in a straight direction. The lid should separate from the hinges exposing them. ***NOTE*** Should your hinges fall out from the washer body, they are directional. Try not to allow the hinges to fall out, if they do, simply try installing them back in and if the screws do not thread back into the hinges, remove the lid and reposition the hinges. 5. Install the new lid by guiding the lid frame onto the hinges until the lid engages. 6. Using a phillips head screwdriver, install each set of screws to secure the lid to the hinges. 7. Install the 2 sticker covers back onto the exposed screw heads. The covers are adhesive and should adhere if care was taken during removal. 8. Enjoy your new lid and have a nice beverage from the savings of DIY. Read More... 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
