How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5325135 / DC97-16782A Dryer Drum Support Roller Assembly

Your YouTube video on noisy dryers helped a lot. It also showed me what parts to order and how to make the repair. Very simple and straight forward. Dryer now runs super quiet. 

Replace the belt and two drum support rollers 

I used YouTube videos to learn how to take apart the dryer and determine the cause of the problem. I located the bad drum roller. I ordered a new roller from AppliancePartsPros.com and had it shipped for next day. The roller arrived as promised and I installed it no problem. I had the dryer back together and working that afternoon, and it is running nice and quiet again. 

Following your video, I replaced the belt and 4 rollers. Also vacuumed dust from 12 years of using my dryer. 

Replaced the broken drum belt. For good measure I replaced the tensioner and spring along with 2 roller wheels which seemed to be showing signs of wear. The videos provided by AppliancePartsPros.com made the whole process simple and straightforward. 

I ordered a belt, idler pulley, and a drum support roller. Once disassembled, I found the problem to be the tension pulley. However, since the belt wasn’t moving, it also needed to be replaced as the motor had worn it close to the breaking point. I replaced the idler pulley and the belt. 

The bearing had failed, the wheel was wobbling on the shaft. Replaced the drum suppoert roller and the tumbler belt. The dryer sounds brand new now. 

I replaced the drum support rollers. 

My initial investigation indicated the belts and idler pulley were ok. I then watched your video and proceeded to disassemble the dryer. I found that the right rear roller assembly had seized up. To not have the others fail, I ordered 4 replacement rollers from your company ( around 4pm on Friday) and they were on our doorstep around noon on Saturday !!! While the unit was open, I then cleaned out the dust, etc that had accumulated over the years, especially the blower wheel which had become quite packed with dust. I then began the reassembly with occasional reference to your video. The biggest issue is access to the rear of the roller plate and getting at the idler pulley to reattach the belt as it is tight and awkward. DONE and running !
