How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4144936 / DA63-03454B Refrigerator French Door Center Hinge

The chat agent, helped me confirmed the part I needed once I provided her with a picture of the issue and model number of my appliance. She was awesome. Erika G. was very patient and knowledgeable. The video showing how to replace the part was extremely useful. My husband and I switched the part in under 30 min. Now that we know what we're doing it would probably take a lot less. I ordered the parts and then watched the videos on the Appliance Parts Pros website to see how to take the broken hinges off and put the new ones on. The videos were EXTREMELY helpful and made the job easy even for an inexperienced person like me! 

Took apart French door and replaced the hinge. Bottom hinge requires complete disassembly due to having to reinstall spring. 

I simply followed the instructions from AppliancePartsPros and was done in no time. Great service! Thank you! 

Was looking at buying the entire Mullion piece at over $100... This was so much cheaper to just buy the parts and follow a youtube video for putting it together properly. At first, I thought the spring was wrong but it's just because I put it in upside down.

I bought the part from appliance pros and watched the YouTube video. This made the repair very simple. I had my 11 year old son help and we finished in about 20 minutes. Videos on YouTube are very helpful and shipping was fast and as promised 

After carefully examining the door and determining that one of the door flap hinges was broken, I did a Google search and quickly found the replacement part at a reasonable price on the Appliance Parts Pro web site, along with a terrific video that showed me exactly how to easily replace the broken hinge. When the parts arrived a few days later, I simply followed the video instructions and the repair was completed with no hassle in about 20 minutes!

When I received parts I fixed it but I did one mistake, I put the bottom hanch spring upside down so door would not close properly, then I realized, I opened it again and put it back on correct way. I am glad I did it. It works perfect now. Thanks appliance parts pros.
