How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5988848 / W10841140 Adhesive

Replaced rubber feet 

It took less than 5 minutes to fix. I cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. I allowed some time for the area to dry, applied the adhesive and inserted the foot. The cooking grate is nice and level again - no wobbling. I bought a few extra feet just in case - the shipping for one is the same for a couple. They're good to keep on hand. 

It took a while to find the correct pads for my appliance. For some reason whirlpool doesn’t offer any information for this range online. However, thanks to all the great comments and feedback on AppliancePartsPros.com, I was able to narrow down the part number to the pads I ordered. These fit better than the couple that were still on my range. They fit nice and snug so I’m fairly confident they won’t be falling out like the previous ones did. Plus I used the recommended adhesive when I installed them. 

Originally was going to order on line. But I wasn't sure about the pad even though it said the part was compatible with my stove, I decided to call to make sure. So thankful I did because it wouldn't have been the right pads. The lady that helped me was very helpful and patient. She looked up my cook top and found the correct information. I wish I had written her name down, so that I could mention her in this write up. 

I removed the old ones,cleaned the holes where they go and used the adhesive on the pads and holes.All this took maybe 12 minutes.Beats buying the whole grate just because the pads were worn.Buying these was also easy.Thank you for your speedy delivery.Will do it again if needed.. 

I am horrible at home repairs, but this was fast and easy. I literally put a dab of the adhesive in the hole where the grate foot goes and pushed the grate foot in, then let it dry for an hour. Now everything is balanced on the stove, and nothing scrapes or "wiggles" when I cook. 

American appliances are very easy to fix in comparison to imported ones. Just open the washer and take de transmission cover out change the pinion inside removing a simple retainer. In the agitator there is a screw that you loosen it take it out, then de tub and take the shaft out and put a new seal and a new c clamp and reinstall everything back. Top-loading washers are very easy to fix in comparison to front-loading washers that are very difficult to fix. 

After diagnosing and reviewing the tutorials provided, we ordered the parts suggested by AppliancePartsPros.com. They hit the nail on the head. The Hall Sensor needed replacing. The repair went exactly as the YouTube video demonstrated. The parts came within 2 days. AppliancePartsPros.com are competent and use fair pricing on their parts. Glad to use them!!!!! 

I looked on the website and found what I thought was correct. Called the helpline at Appliance Parts Pros. @ 0 minutes later the parts were on their way. Super fast delivery. 

Searched the web and learned that the part was no longer made. Used AppliancePartsPros website to find a grate foot that appeared close and asked them, and they agreed it was the closest. It is very hard to tell the difference. The part arrived as ordered, on time.
