How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6020669 / WPW10381562 Bellow

Replaced bellow. 

I knew there was a small tear in my bellow and I knew I would have to replace it eventually. I finally ordered the new bellow and patiently waited for it to come. The tear in my seal became so large that I had to stop using the washer all together and that's when I ordered the new one. Of course it happened on a holiday weekend . A repairman said 150.00 for coming out 150.00 for parts and labor. That's 300.00 bucks! No Thanks! I order the exact part I needed from the model number on the washer and it arrived on Tuesday as promised. I am a 52 year old single woman and I googled how to put a new one on, and it was up and running in an hour. If I can do it anyone can. Saved 200.00 bucks. Thanks. 

After watching a short video on the subject I dove in. It is a pretty straight forward repair. Was done in a little over an hour. 

Although no instructions came with the boot the appliance parts pros website has the perfect video for that model which made it easy. Got the item the next day and was up and running fast. 

Removed the old one. Installed the new one. 

I ordered the part and although the short film I watched did not show the exact model I was able to install the part. I had a little trouble stretching the outer ring but eventually got it on. It is exciting repairing something on your own. Viola 

After researching on AppliancePartsPros.com, it was clear that I needed to replace the bellow seal that keeps water in the tub when in use. I was able to easily find the part I needed and complete the repair with the online video. The repair was very simple, the exception being the wire clamp that holds the seal on the front lip of the washer. This was a bit tricky to move into place without damaging the seal and just requires good channel locks and patience. Overall, very satisfied and would definitely order again from Appliance Parts Pros. 

Found a small hole in bellow. Replaced bellow with one bought here. Perfect fit and no more leaking. Had to remove top panel, control panel, kick plate, and finally the door panel. 

Ordered a new door bellows and installed it on a rainy afternoon and my problem was solved. 

Replaced myself with new bellow.
