How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009592 / WP489503 Hose Clamp

We inherited a 35 year old Maytag washer and dryer when we moved a few years ago. We noticed a foot diameter patch of water on the left side when we used it. After consulting with some youTube videos we decided we had little to lose by attempting to fix the leak ourselves. The parts came quickly. Quick enough that we still had the videos fresh in our minds. The ancient clamps were not as easy to remove as the ones in the video but we replaced the Injector hose kit and the bleach pipe in about half an hour. And now it doesn't leak. 

Replaced the tube. Simple task; thanks for the prompt service. 

I replaced the old bleach tube, as well as the hose clamp on the lower end. The new tube was very flexible and required some stretching to fit over the dispenser and tub nipples. I used a little petroleum jelly to help ease the tube on. 

Renewing a 30 year old Maytag. Replaced the inlet valve, really easy. Replaced the old rubber hose to the bleach cup that had hardened and no longer reached the cup. Upon removal, I found the outlet into the tub was rotted and completely clogged. Sourced one from another supplier but a good lesson to replace the whole component whenever possible. Replaced damper kit using a different method from video that I found online in order to avoid taking the washer completely apart. I was extremely skeptical but it worked like all the testimonials. Not an easy repair but I managed on my own. A razor blade paint scraper made relatively quick work of removing the old pads. Rubbing alcohol cut through a surprising amount of old grease in the cabinet.
