How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023349 / WPW10605015 Dishwasher Detergent Dispenser Assembly

Watched the video, bought the part, and followed the video instructions. My husband was away, but I thought I would give it a try. I was able to undo all the screws and put in the new part. It was difficult to replace the screws holding in the part, but I finally did it. I screwed on the door, and ran the cycle. It all worked!!! Amazing. 

Fortunately for me, it was real easy. Took out the Torks around the door. Then out of the dispenser. Reversed everything to put it back. Took less than half hour 

I found the parts that I needed through your website. Part of the order arrived within a few days. The balance of the parts did not arrive after two weeks, so I called customer service with my order number and they arrived within a few days. I will definitely be back. Thank you. 

Replaced with new part would have been quicker repair is instructions were sent I used google to find step by step process 

Pulled a video from online and ordered my parts from Appliancepartspros.com. This was the second repair I've done with your help, the last being my washing machine. This time I replaced the dishwasher detergent dispenser on my Kitchen Aid. You guys make it so simple and give me the confidence to do it myself! 

We replaced the entire dispenser because it wasn't possible to replace only the little plastic door. 

We took out old one and replaced it with new one we ordered.... the door is a pain in the butt but well worth doing yourself to save money on a repairman! 

Replaced entire dispenser. Easy procedure. Removed the front of the door by removing screws around inside of door. Removed dispenser wire and screws holding dispenser to door. Removed old dispenser, reversed steps to install new dispenser. Dishwasher is like new again, maybe better, as the new dispenser has a better design and looks like it will last longer than the original.

Followed video. However, electrical connector was not compatible. Had to cut wires from dishwasher connector and remove connector adapter from new dispenser. I used an AWG20 wire stripper for the dishwasher wires and crimped on AMP female disconnects size 22-18 from Home Depot. The disconnects fit the modified dispenser connectors perfectly. This added time to go to Home Depot and replace the dispenser. All works perfectly well now. The replacement dispenser is an excellent improvement over the original.
