Financially struggling single father of two kids 6 & 8 who have wardrobe changes every hour. Bought this unit cheap from an innocent old lady who claimed the washer was functional, but just had been in storage. Drove unit home from buying it, two hours away. Plugged it in, and wash basin did not spin.
Initially, I was concerned because DIY video was of a stand alone washing machine unit and I have a stacked laundry center. After I applied elbow grease and got the front cover off, motor, pump, internals, etc. just like on video. Swapped out parts inside motor and once front cover was off, repair took less time then on video. Turned on washer and wash basin just finished its first load of the kids clothes. This Auto Cad draftsman who works on the computer all day in a nice, clean office was feeling like a proud repair superhero, but with tears in his eyes.
