How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP7175875 / W11562931 Door Gasket

Replaced gasket and switch harness. Watched videos first they were very helpful. 

Replaced with new. This has to be the simplest job ever. I know that some people think that it’s difficult because it’s inside an oven underneath a glass cover - but, it’s just the same as changing a bulb in a lamp, with one extra step - unscrewing the cover, (while you have the covering glass off it’s a good idea to clean it). It’s so easy to do and only takes a couple of minutes. 

Followed video instructions, removed the old gasket and put the new one in, less than 15 minutes. 

I replaced the gasket and obtained new knobs of a better design that eliminated plastic that would melt. Happy with the result. 

Simple repair. Gently took old gasket off door by backing out metal clips. Took new gasket and pushed in metal clips into holes in oven. Then finished by pushing gasket ends into hole with needle nose pliers.
