How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4512161 / W10310711 Grill-Vent (Stl)

Replaced vent cover, less than five minutes. Two screws is all it takes. I am sure it will need to be replaced again in a couple of years. Jenn Air should not have manufactured this piece of junk that need to be replaced every 2-3 years. 

I didn't know what the proper name for the broken part was, so called Jennair and got a schematic for that model of microwave. I found the part number in the schematic, and searched for it online. I found a great price at AppliancePartsPros.com and also found great reviews of the company. I ordered the part and it was delivered in two days. It took five minutes to repair my microwave, simply by screwing two screws. All fixed, and at a fraction of the cost of calling a repairman. 

AppliancePartsPros had exactly what I needed, including filters. Ordering was easy, delivery was within a couple of days. The replacement was easy. (I've owned this microwave for almost 10 years and did not want to have to replace it.) 

Attached new vent grill to the top of the microwave/hood unit using one of the original screws and a similar screw removed from the interior of the broken vent grill. 

Replaced it. 

Great, spoke to someone who directed me to my unit and specific part number. 

Ordered new parts and super simple to attach. Works and looks beautiful. 

Ordered a new one. 

Looked up the part number at Applicance parts Pro, ordered it and when it arrived it was simply two phillips screws and done in 2 minutes. Exact part. Easy.
