How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014329 / WP9871267 Container Handle

We called the phone number on the unit, gave them the model number and the price of the replacement handle including tax and shipping was $112.00. We then looked on line at Appliance Parts Pro and got the identical part including tax and shipping for $70.00. When the part arrived it took about ten minutes to remove the old handle and install the new one. 

Simple... took off the broken screw sleeves, set in the new handle and reset the screws.

New handle, no sweat, five minutes! Start to finish. 

Installed the new Lever provided by ApplPartsPros. It was easy and look great. 

I ordered the part on line on Thursday and it was delivered on Saturday afternoon. I was surprised that I received it so soon without paying extra. I installed the handle right away and works fine. 

Removed three screws and the broken handle. Put new one back in along with screws, Completed in less than three minutes. 

I used the compactor model number to select the new handle. It fit perfectly. The replacement took about 5 minutes. 

Three screws and the old handle was out and the new in. Easy fix. 

3 screws and about 90 seconds later the job was complete. Tools consisted of 1 Phillips screwdriver. Remove 3 clearly visible screws Remove handle Reverse procedure. seriously?
