They look like traditional Philips head wood screws, but they are actually hex head so you need an Allen wrench. Another stupid design choice. Lisa G San Antonio , TX October 10, 2015 The hous cntrl unit had basically crumbled in my whirlpool stove overhead vent Using a six-sided screwdriver tool I loosened the screws, pulled out the old unit, and replaced it with the new one.
