How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014704 / WPW10003250 Hose

Watched video on how to repair drain hose on make and model of washer. Disconnected hose, drained line and replaced with new one. The placement of the original hose (moved by me previously for a cleaning) was not correct and had been rubbing on the washer causing a slight leak in the worn area. 

Removed and replaced hose. removed and cleaned out filter. filter had a sock, a couple of coins and a mechanical pencil in it! No, not a misprint. 

Replace the broken hose! 

Unclamped the old hose and replaced it with a new one. Then adjusted the foam protector so the shock would rub against that and not the hose.
