Robert L Kissimmee , FL January 16, 2022 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MSD2651HEB For about a year the ice drop chute in our double door refrigerator frosted up at the dispenser. It finally got so bad, I had to have it fixed. After watching 3 short very informative videos on AppliancePartsPros.com, I decided to order the parts the videos showed related to the frosting ice shoot. The parts arrived earlier than I expected, each part looked exactly as pictured on the website, and the replacement could not have been any easier, thanks to their videos. I'm 70 with NO previous appliance repair experience, but because Appliance Parts Pros demonstrated so clearly, step by step instructions, for a full week now we don't have any frosting ice shoot problem. David C Stockton Springs , ME April 21, 2020 Appliance: Model JENN-AIR Ice chute seal needed replacing. I have a Jenn-air Refrig/Freezer, manufactured by Whirlpool. Since there was no repair video @ApplianceProsPros for my specific job, I searched YouTube and found something similar. It gave me a good idea of what I was up against. I ordered the needed parts, which arrive in a short amount of time. I turned off the power/circuit-breaker then removed the dispenser cover, which was held onto the freezer door by two screws at the bottom of the tray. I disconnected the power plug to the printed circuit board and the wire clips to the light and the solenoid. Next, I removed the ice chute and seal components held on to the freezer door by three screws. Everything needed a good cleaning. After twelve years, it had a lot of mold in areas that cannot be cleaned without disassembly. I then reassembled the seal and flapper with the parts that I obtained from AppliancePartsPros, and replaced everything back in reverse order. It was quite simple and only took about an hour, including the cleaning time. Everything worked fine. The nut driver was better to use than the Philips. The only goof-up was I did not replace the spring. When I opened the package from AppliancePartsPros, and shook all of the contents out, the spring did not fall out and I figured it just did not make it. Nope, after putting the old spring back in, I went out to dispose of the package, and found that the spring was in a packet but some how tape on the packet held it inside. My bad! Read More... Cyndy Z Fort Worth , TX September 03, 2016 Appliance: Kenmore 26 Side-By-Side Refrigerator 59651672100 Ice buildup at the icemaker chute I ordered this insulation, the seal ice chute and the door ice chute. I removed the drip tray and behind those were two screws. After taking those screws out, the icemaker panel came off. I had to take the door chute out and place the door ice chute in the tabs provided, then I put the insulation in and covered it with the seal and that was it. When I was done, I put everything back together and the ice buildup at the icemaker chute stopped accumulating. Read More...
