How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6012364 / WP8273104 Control Knob

Replace them 

We ordered the control knobs with your company. 

Just replaced with the new ones :) 

Removed the old and replaced it with the ordered knob. 

I ordered a new one. 

I looked up the model number on the range, Googled it and found your site. I ordered two knobs just in case I had another mishap. 

Replace all of the knobs on the stove. Looks great and they work properly. 

No idea how old my gas dryer is - bought it used on Craigslist for $50 7 or 8 years ago. Worked fine until a few weeks ago. First step was what seemed the simplest - spent $12 and replaced thermostats. Then read more DIY stories and thought I would replace the motor. The cost of the motor would be about the cost of a repairman getting out of his truck in my driveway. Following the steps in the video I think replacing the motor took about as long as replacing the thermostats! PIECE OF CAKE! All is great - dryer tumbles, dries - and my 89 year old mother says "just think how much money you saved" 

I had to remove the burner covers and unscrew the burners from the top of the stove. Then pulled the top of the stove off from the clips. Once that was done I was able to move the burner to access the screw underneath that held the electrode in. Removed the broken electrode and replaced with the new one. The electrode I received had a different post clip so I had to remove the clip off the replacement and replace with larger one. Put the stove back together and now it works great! 

I found the exact part on your web site. I ordered it, 2 days later, my stove looks brand new!
