How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006817 / WP2255431W Ice Dispenser Lever (White)

I saw the video on how to replace the levers on your site and quickly order the replacement part for my unit. It turned out just like the video and I was able to complete the removal and installation in about 45 minutes (that included the cleanup that was required) after old stained parts were removed. The plastic water tube had hard water deposits near the opening which I was able to remove with a soft wood dowel rod. Everything went as planed and when I turned the Circuit breaker back on it worked like new again. The one thing I wish that could have and would have was. The type of plastic these parts are made of. A very hard slick surface much like a ceramic or epoxy that would or could be wiped clean and remain stain free.

Replaced both levers. 

Ordered a part and the part came in and I replaced the broken one with the new one. 

Replaced lever paddles on both ice/water dispensers ,and used the ice door kit. The video on repairs made it easy. total time 15 minutes 

REplaced Broken ice door tab bracket and ice and water dispenser levers. Put every thing in water and ice dispensers new. Very easy to replace parts and i am so glad someone buit this metal bracket kit to replace broken tab on ice door. GOOD JOB AP

First watch the video provided by Appliance pros.com, than bought the parts that afternoon and received both levers the next day. Followed the video instructions and was done in 45 minutes. Could be done a lot faster but I told my time and clean all of components pretty filthy.
