How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3138838 / 285811 Medium Cam Agitator Repair Kit

Ordered the kit from Appliance parts pros and watched the video and completed the repair! Thank you for the video it helped me do the job with ease! 

Those videos were so helpful, we would get to some part and we would just go back upstairs and watch the videos. First we removed the agitator and put the new parts with the feed dogs in it. We had to order an extender wrench on line to reach the bolt, then we got the kit for the motor gasket that needed to be replaced. It was a three day job as we are an older couple and could only get on the floor for a little while. It was hard to get the motor off. Our machine is 25 yrs old. Then it was very difficult to get the motor back on it. But we did it and are so happy our friend, recommended your site. So we saved a bunch of money on this repair!! Try $400 at least. We had the time during this pandemic. Thank you !!! 

Got the kit, arrived sooner than expected. Easy to change, much better agitation and cleaner clothes. ( I always go to the "Tube" as research before ordering and doing the work )

I ordered the parts as well as the fabric softener cup from you. Your video was great I watched it once when I bought the parts and did not have to watch when I received them. Everything works great now. I didn't realize my washer wasn't washing until I changed it all. The only thing you didn't show is how dirty the innards are when the washer isn't working, gross!..thank you! 

The agitator dogs (small gears) were stripped so I was able to purchase a replacement kit and fix the washing machine in about 20 minutes. As always the instructional video was informative and worth a watch so you don't miss any steps. The kit was also complete with new gaskets which is important. I ordered the cam Agitator repair kit from AppliancePartsPros.Com. The parts cam via FedEx the next day and a half hour later my wife was off my back doing laundry! Thanks for the super fast service during the Covid 19 lockdown! 

The direct drive Washer motor coupling was the main part that was needed. It was wearing out. Mine did not have the rubber part, it was all plastic. The holes had now become elongated. I believe that is what made it noisy. I am so thankful for the videos. I can repair many things, but having just a little guidance made the project very successful. I like to have very clean things, I really scrubbed all the pieces before putting it back together, most repair people do not do that. I got some cleaner pills to take out any smells that may be in it. I’m not sure how that’s going to work out. It almost seems worse. I don’t really know how long it took.
