How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6030715 / W10894668 Motor-Pump

I did a google search for "KitchenAid dishwasher kdte404dbl0 not getting dishes clean" and an ApplianacePartsPro web page comes up but does not mention my eventual solution. Looking at the information on the web it seemed to point to the washer motor but the dishwasher was circulating the water, just not through the rotating arms. If you watch the ApplianacePartsPro video for replacing the diverter motor, it mentions that it is a solution for "not getting dishes clean". Replacing the diverter motor assembly solved my dishwasher problem, fixing the 5-year-old KitchenAid dishwasher. 

The dishwasher started to make a loud droning noise in the wash cycle and the dishes no longer became clean. Replaced the motor pump and its now quite and actually cleans the dishes! Total repair took about 45 minutes. Also replaced the drain pump while it was accessible. Tools needed was a Philips screwdriver, a T15 driver and hose clamp crimper plyers. 

Replaced pumps and diverter motor.
