How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007604 / WP31001535 Dryer Motor Pulley

Went to several repair stores each said it would take 2 weeks to get the part, my wife said no . went on line to appliance parts pros ordered the pulley and received it in 2 days at a cheaper price , well satisfied . 

Replaced drive belt and broken drive pulley on motor shaft. Original part was aluminum; replacement part was steel. Note: I rated this task as easy but I have been repairing appliances for many years. 

I took the dryer apart and found both parts were broken. Came online to figure out how to fix it and who had the available part in the time and price range that worked for my family. I needed one other person to do the job properly. 

Replaced motor drive pulley and belt. Pulley was lefthand thread. 

Replaced both parts. Parts fit perfectly. Repair was quick and easy. Only challenge was removing the old pulley. 

I had ordered from another website, they had "genuine" OEM parts for my Maytag dryer. Sure the shipping and that sounded great, I ordered then a week later my shipping hasn't moved. It got "lost" in the process, so it was reordered. The website told me the new issue would come in 4 days, so I waited and waited. I contacted them and then they told me sorry the earliest we can get it is February the latest June. Pissed me off so I got my refund back, they lied the whole time, they were quick to take my money but slow to give it back. So I found you guys, well my neighbor recommended you guys. And sure enough, 3 to 4 days later my parts were here from you guys at AppliancePartsPros.com. Thank you I needed the parts as we just had a baby and three toddlers with a lot of clothes. Thank you very much. I installed the new parts and works great thanks again. 

Replaced the belt and the motor pulley. 

I replaced both parts. 

I took off front panel 2 days ago when waiting the part . I put the new pulley in and try to tight it but I don't know where Was the limited for tighten. It's still keep going when tighten so I stop when having the feeling that enough before It will broke up .The machine still working good now ,It' was purchased fm 2006 and I want to keep it to stay with me !!! 

Viewed utube video. Took some time but all went well. Note it helps to hold idler arm in a cocked position with lightly clamped vise grips, once belt is in and aligned release vice grip. Note inspect rear rollers, drive pulley, rub tapes on front before ordering which I was glad I did. Thanks for ultra quick shipping. Rr
