How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4364226 / 6-918651 Silverware Basket

Replace basket 

I ordered this replacement basket on 12/1/2015 and can't believe that it was delivered on our porch on 12/2/2015. The return address showed it came from Lexington ,Ky , a considerable distance for our home. Service doesn't get any better than that!! WOW !!! 

Took out the old one and put in the new one 

Replaced the door latch 

Got on the website. Put on make and model, went through th e diagrams and found the part.b ordered it and got it in 2 days. Problem solved. It was that easy. 

This was an exact OEM replacement except it was a slightly different color...which could have been from use. I keep the baskets split in half and on the top rack 

Ordered new one 

Remove 11 torx screws on the inside plastic panel,2 more screws on the latch.disconnect 2 plugs on the latch switches(shut the power off to be safe) re-plug the connectors to the new latch and replace the screws.Easy repair,less than 10 min....works perfectly
