How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007727 / WP3182857 Latch Spring

Removed 2 screws removed broken latch and replaced latch spring took about 2 minutes 

New Latch Spring 

Replaced the part, everything fit exactly as needed. Made my baker a happy woman. 

Removed 2 screws and the broken latch. Placed new latch spring on and the 2 screws. Super easy and the mixing bowl clamped on perfectly. Took about 30 seconds. 

Called Kitchenaid but part was not available. Called appliance parts and they had the $5 part in stock. Old part attached with two screws that I removed. Installed clip and the two screws. $300 mixer fixed in 4 days. 

I ordered a new part and replaced it. 

Took less than five minutes to unscrew old and replace with new latch spring 

Replacement part # 3182857 for a Kitchen Aid Mixer was an exact replacement. 

Went to appliancepartspro.com and the site was easy to find the part I needed. Easy check-out process and fast delivery. Two screws later and the mixer was good as new. They said it was an easy fix and they were right. I plan to tackle my fridge next using them. Thank you 

Removed the two mounting screws and replaced the broken piece with the new spring.
