How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6021532 / WPW10446781 Idler Arm Spring

I took the dryer apart and saw the Idler Arm Spring was broken Since we were going to have to pull out the dryer drum I decided to replace the pulley and drum support rollers. I ordered the kit and was disappointed that the new belt didn't fit but we just used the old one and everything works great! 

Replaced parts. 

Replaced bad parts with new Main part bad was idler pully 

Replaced the belt tensioner and belt 

Install parts, idler wheel unit and new belt. 

Replaced Idler Pulley Assembly. Easy fix after watching the video on this site. Unfortunately, the Idler Arm Spring I ordered/received at the same time (as preventative maintenance) as the Idler Pulley Assembly, was not even close to the size/shape/gauge of the original spring or the online photo of the part. After comparing photos with the online Chat person, everybody agreed the manufacturer must've put the wrong spring in the correctly-labeled part bag. Since I really didn't need the spring to complete the repair, I just replaced the Idler Pulley Assembly using the original spring. AppliancePartsPros.com issued a refund for the replacement spring. All's well that ends well. 

Ordered parts, watched video, completed the job quickly and as easily as noted in the video 

Removed front and drum and old belt cleaned inside unit as needed.Replaced idler assembly and felt seal that seemed worn. Install new belt on drum and replace drum and reassemble as needed. 

It was relatively easy. I watched the video on your website and it was a short fix knowing how to disassemble.
