Wayne H Lombard , IL November 23, 2018 My oven stopped heating because the lower element exploded! it broke apart in two places and discolored the oven floor I googled the problem and saw that replacing the element was something I could do with a screwdriver! Easy duty! I wound up using some pliers also to retrieve the wire connector that fell backward into the oven insulation when I pulled the element out. I found the part number at the Appliance parts website from the stove/oven model number inside my oven door. Delivery was just a couple of days and I popped the circuit breaker off and the whole process took less than 15 minutes. The circuit breaker is in the basement and I am old... The cost was a fraction of a repairman's labor or a new stove. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
