How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6327638 / W11168743 Hot Water Inlet Valve

Replaced the hot water valve on washing machine. 

I replaced both the hot and cold water inlet valves. I looked at videos on the internet to find out how to get to the part and install the part. It was pretty easy. The hardest part was removing the top which is clamped on..had to slide a putty knife between the top and the body of the washer. 

Replaced lid lock mechanism and hot water inlet valve. Your repair videos are an awesome resource!
