Joanna G Santee , CA January 01, 2015 Appliance: Model GTWN4250DWS 15year old ge washing machine motor went out Handy Husband took off front of washing machine, unbolted motor then I held motor in place while he bolted on new one.He had to connect new wire harness. One wire was different color..orange instead of white with red stripe. He wrapped old hanging wires to steel bar supporting drum and new wire harness attached to inside where original used to be.He put on the new belt as well since old one was a bit old.He needed a phillips, metric tools..sockets, wrenches, wire cutters,a crimper, pliers and it took about 2 to 3hrs. 5 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
