Replaced the clutch assembly (AP5675941) for Kenmore Elite (LG) model 796-29272001. New clutch assembly had a spline for the pulsator (the old clutch had a tapered shaft), so I had to buy a new Pulsator with a spline - a better design. The toughest part was removing the 38 mm bolt holding the inner tub. An air wrench like for removing car wheels worked great. I used a powerwasher to blast the all surfaces of the drum and inner tub to remove scale and mold - this removed all odor from the machine. Only hitch in getting it going again was the nut on the bottom of the clutch holding the motor/rotor kept falling off - fixed by using the air wrench and threadlock compound on the nut. Saved lots of money DIY.... $220 Vs. ($400 parts + labor from Sears).
