Every year, at least once I need to replace the agitator in my washer. The fins break off. I have never had this problem before with a washer. It can be a little tough to pull the agitator out of the washer, especially when you fear it smacking you in the face as it jerks out of the washer. This is a very easy fix. I have probably changed the agitator on my washer 6 times in about 6 or 7 years.
