I installed the agitator repair kit. The dogs were all that were broken, but the other pieces could be prone to breaking and given that the parts in my washer were 18+ years old, I was glad to have the whole kit. Install was not difficult, especially if you follow the repair tutorial videos. Only a 7/16" socket and long extension were needed.
