Like me if you are uncertain if this part is the one that is needed and causing your washer to not agitate simply pull off your agitator ( simply pull straight up with your hands). This exposes the shaft and coupler. Now run your washer as if you are washing a load of clothes and watch to see if the coupler and shaft spin back and forth. If they do then you need a new coupler. When my new coupler arrived I had to take a hammer and tap it into place because it was hard to reach by hand and still have enough force to push it into place. Total time to install and slide agitator back on was 5 minutes and it worked like a charm. I gave a 2 on the challenge scale due to having to lean into the washer tub and it being uncomfortable not because the actual repair was hard to do.
