I pondered the situation several days until all my clothes were dirty, then i ordered a new belt from AppliancePartsPros. It arrived very quickly, less than three business days. On next day, i installed the belt through the back of the machine with little or no trouble after tipping the machine over and laying it on its front so i could work from above. I reduced the belt adjustment to the minimum to easily slip the belt over the two pullys, then increased the adjustment to properly tension the belt. The most difficult part of the job involved reconnecting the rubber coupling between the motor and the waterpump. The coupling didn't want to stay in position for the clamp to be tightened. That took a little patience and perseverence, then success. After setting the machine back up and levelling, i tested it with four loads of clothes and had no more problems what-so-ever!
