The biggest challenge was in getting the plastic blower disconnected from the motor. To do this, I tried twisting them apart but this failed in hope that I could still use the old blower and save myself money. I had to resort to the use of an electric drill to break off the blower wheel. I ordered the new electric motor and plastic blower from AppliancePartsPros.com and they both were delivered to my house 4 days later for me to get started on my repair. The motor instructions included complications that did not seem to apply to my specific application, which confused me at first, but I read that these complications should not apply for my application, so re-installation of the motor and plastic blower went well. I forgot to order a cushioning strip (lint seal) that goes around an air exhaust from the spinning dryer wheel drum. Had I ordered the lint seal cushioning at the same time as the motor and blower, I would have probably saved myself $10 in delivery charges and finished the job a day sooner. My dryer works well now. I saved about $160 as compared to what a repair company would have charged.
