A video would have been helpful to show exactly how much force is necessary to pull the display out, I was about ready to give up with a credit card stuck in both vertical sides and a putty knife in the top --i gave it one last try with a pry tool on the top left corner and then all of a sudden it popped out like magic. clean...no broken tabs or anything.
had a little trouble releasing the tab on the wiring harness but after that everything went well and back into place. took me about 20 min to pop the display off, but once that was done it was about 10 min to swap and put it back.
an easy job, but intimidating for fear of breaking the display.
