I called customer service to ask if there was a video that showed how to install a new lid switch, and promptly received a response, with a link to the video that showed how to open the top of the washing machine to gain access to the lid switch. I followed along with the video and replaced the broken switch with the new one which I received the day after ordering it.
It took about 20 minutes, max, and was so simple to accomplish.
