First, I called our local fix it shop with a precise description of the issue. They said it would likely require a replacement of the entire icemaker for approx. $100 plus labor charges of $250. With charges like that I Google'd the fridge/freezer unit & found this site. Looked at the schematics & could immediately see what part was needed (Fill Cup & Bearing Assembly). I could also see this site provided a video link on replacing the part. Watched it (less than 7 min if you whiz past the extra promo stuff). Looked easy! Ordered the part ... $14. It arrived NEXT DAY. Followed the video instructions & had the thing repaired in less than 15 minutes ... counting hunting down screwdrivers in the toolbox. $350 vs. $14. NO CONTEST! Thanks ApplicancePartsPros.com!
