Alan S Hoquaim , WA April 04, 2015 Burner went to max hot after the med point On Maytag range I removed back panel of the range, top far left and right screws next to light, other screws holding the side panel of face plate, and the two screws behind the burner adjustment knob. Keep track of where these screws go. After I reassembled the entire unit I was left with two screws. Pulled away the face plate to get at the problem switch. One by one I pulled each wire from the defective unit and reinstalled it on the new switch. Replaced the switch to the face plate with the two screws then reassembled the entire face plate to the range and the back to the range. Works fine now, but hopefully the two screws left out was not essential. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
