Removed nut holding thermostat in plastic cover plate, pulled three wires off, and pulled temperature sensor out of tube. Really easy. The thing about the project that impressed me most was that I ordered the part in the afternoon and it arrived the next afternoon (Saturday)! Other sources i considered were indicating that shipping would take anywhere from a week to two weeks. All were similar in price.
