New house, why wouldn't you plug the fridge into what looked like a 120v recep., NO it was 12-2 wire with 220v.
The freezer was thawing out during the move water ended up in the light socket with the 220v BAM you just cooked your Elec. Components.
Looked online and found this site AppliancePartsPros.com used the troubleshooter (followed the very good instructions and test procedures each time). Pulled the circuit board had a fried diode ordered a new one, took 1.8 days to arrive. Installed new part still nothing, back to the troubleshooter ordered a new capacitor, 1.8 days, nothing. Troubleshooter again new compressor starter switch 1.7 days. Yes I am now a master refrigerator repairman.
