Easy fix.
Took off the back panel. It was obvious that the fan was what was making the noise I heard.
Removed the existing fan and associated motor.
The new one ordered was slightly different in configuration, but it came with an adapter cord and went in pretty much plug and play.
The only thing I would say is to put the fan on before you install the motor.
The new fan and motor came in a couple of days.
