Constance B Malvern , PA December 14, 2015 Appliance: Model GE TOP LOADING WASHER The control knob would not turn the dial to set the wash settings i wasn't sure what the right solution was to this problem so i called appliance parts pros they told me to order a new control knob When I received the new Control Knob and Timer Knob Clip, I realized that the original one was actually stripped of the "teeth" that make it engage with the dial and the shaft to select the settings. I just popped the new Control Knob, already with a new Timer Knob Clip on it, back on the shaft and Timer Dial, and it was done. Not knowing exactly which of the three parts were needed, I had also ordered a new Timer Dial, but I actually did not need a new dial. The pictures on the web site were helpful when I called the Customer Service line and spoke to a service rep. I told them about the problem and they suggested which parts to order. The whole process was very simple. I saved calling a repair person and spending a lot of money. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
