The assembly was a simple pull and replace with one wiring hiccup.
1. Remove the fan cover from inside the oven (2 phillips screws).
2. Use a 9mm wrench/socket to remove the fan from the motor. The thread is reversed - so opposite of lefty loosey...
3. remove the back cover from the oven (5 phillips screws)
The motor is in the middle of the back, of the oven. It has a wiring harness with 2 wires attached to it, and is held on by 3 screws.
4. Remove the wiring harness
5. Remove the motor (my motor no long spun freely)
My stove was one of the earlier units (April 2014) and the wiring clip did not fit the new motor, even though it was Samsung's exact replacement part. I called customer service and made sure I had the right part -- which I did. At this point I clipped the wiring harness off and replaced the connector with 2 spade connections. If you have a later unit, replacing the spade connectors may not be necessary, but have them ready in case just in case..
6. Install the new motor back into the oven
7. Reattach the wiring harness using the new spade connectors
8. Replace the oven back
9. Reattach the fan inside the oven
10. Reattach the fan cover.
11. Quick test -- works like a charm.
