Repair was relatively easy. You'll need a 5/16 socket with a short extension and a phillips-head screwdriver. Probably also an old rag and a bucket of hot soapy water. I started by sliding the stove out from the wall. Unplug the stove as soon as possible. No sense messing with 240 volts AC. If you're like me, and you haven't cleaned back there in a while, here's where you'll need the soapy rag. Cleaning up the stove (and the wall, and floor) will help make the job less gross. Next I took the top aluminum plate off the back with the 5/16 socket. This may not be necessary, but it will give you easier access to the interior panel. Lay a old towel or something similar on top of the stove-top. This will help prevent damaging the glass when you accidentally drop a tool (we both know this is inevitable). Then, look for the two screws that are under the burner knobs; there's one on each side. Use the phillips-head and be real careful not to drop the screws between the back panel and the stove-top. No fun fishing those out. Directly under the overlay panel, on either side of the vent are two more screws. Remove these with the socket. Did you remember to unplug the stove? With a little jiggling, the burner-knob panel will come off of the back panel. You'll need to maneuver it around the vent. Behind the burner-knob panel I found more grease and gunk and decided to do some more cleaning. I know, I'll never see it, but I know it's there, so... I cleaned. The overlay panel is not screwed in, but is affixed to the burner-knob panel by position. You'll need to slowly lift the bottom away from the back of the burner-knob panel, then pull down. This whole thing is attached to the rest of the stove with a bunch of wires, but there will be room. Slowly, peel off the old overlay. Make sure you get all of it. Clean the exposed surface up a bit, then apply the new overlay - it's a simple peel & stick; make sure you line up all the LEDs. Now peel off the clear protector on the front of the overlay. Reverse the process and you are done!
