Alan R Rochester , NH April 11, 2017 Appliance: Model ABOVE, HAD TO OPEN THE DOOR TO FIND IT One day the washer door opened and closed; the next day it would not open I googled the problem. It was suggested that I take an Allen wrench; vice grips, insert it and turn, should be able to unlock, not. I used a hack saw blade to cut the screws holding it in position (top). Then the washer could be moved out and have access to the top of the door. I unscrewed the nut holding the latch. Once accomplished the door opened. Then I had access to the part number and model number. Before that I could not see the model number. Ordered the part from you folks, part was delivered in 24 hrs, regular shipment. 4 screws to remove; replace part, IT WORKS! Oh, by the way ..... the local appliance shop did not have a clue how to help me. They did suggest going on line though, google it. thanks, 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
