I ordered a new valve on a Sunday! I received it Wednesday. It was a perfect match and made in the USA.
On my late model Kenmore washer the water valve is located up the back of the control panel. The only tools I needed was a 1/4 inch nut driver and a pair of hose pliers.. I unplugged the cord, slid the machine out, turned off the water, unscrewed the hoses at the valve, took the back off the control panel and changed the valve out. It took about 30 minutes and works perfectly.
