I replaced the heating element and the thermostat.
My dishwasher is hardwired into the electricity, so I just turned it off at the breaker box.
The water hoses were long enough that I didn't have to disconnect them.
The thermostat is in a different place than in the video, but since I had the machine out for the heating element repair, it was pretty easy to find.
I spent more time trying to disconnect things that I didn't need to than I did actually replacing the parts.
Super easy job once I got the dishwasher out of the cabinet.
I didn't need the rubber washer.
