I looked in the bottom of the dishwasher and saw that the center piece of the water wheel had somehow come loose. That center piece was lodged under the heating element and was now somewhat beaten and melted. We looked on line for an illustrated parts breakdown and found it on Appliance Parts Pros website. The diagram was so clear and straight forward that it was easy to see the part that we needed and another part (when we looked) we also found missing. Well, 3 days later the parts came in at just under a WHOPPING $25. It took 5 minutes to put the pieces in place (by hand; no tools required) and test the dish washing machine. It's now 3 days later and our kids are praising ... almost worshiping the dish washer as.. they no longer have to do dishes by hand!
