Referenced the troubleshooting documentation on the appliance wire diagram. The first suggestion was power wasn't reaching the appliance; easy with a non-contact voltage detector to rule out. The next was that the bimetal (thermal fuse) had failed. A quick continuity test with my multimeter showed an open circuit.
The replacement part came promptly and took only a few minutes to install. Probably the fastest, easiest appliance repair I've done!
With disassembly, testing, and reassembly less than an hour total.
