I took the bottom cover off below the door. Found a spring laying on the floor and broken cable. Looked at the website and seen how it was supposed to work. The dishwasher is old but figured a cable keeps me from having to buy a new dishwasher.
Bought a cable, then spent 5 min putting is on. Works great!
