Took cover completely off and tried putting back, could not match up left screw with available screw hole. Tried many different configurations and sequences to make this happen. watched a video on changing the front panel, the door in it had four screws, mine 2, no help there. Searched on the hyperextending issue, found an article about dogs and kids [had both here] climbing on the door and to check the springs and linkages. Linkages intact both sides, R [opposite] side spring very stretched. Looked up parts and ordered one spring [2 recommended, at 30 bucks each total for 3 parts would be 25% of a new machine!] and one cap dispenser. Parts came very fast. Choose to attach the cover panel before pulling out again to put the spring in. Supported the door on a crate with kneeling pads, the combo of techniques that worked finally was that I took out right screw and loosened the bottom 2 screws holding the controls/dials above the cover panel [has 3 screws each side], this allowed me to push up the cover panel so that I could align the screw and screw hole on the Left to screw it in place, then went to the right side and it went in and then tightened the control panel screws. The spring on the right went in with no difficult once the machine was pulled out, put it back and changed the cap ONLY to find it matched on the top but on the underneath the replacement had a chip gone from its edge, did not go so deep as to break the seal so I put it in. Would be an excellent experience if it had come intact.
